Barn. Early C17. Timber frame on red brick sill wall, dark weather- boarded, with steep old red tile roof. A tall barn of 5-bays, facing W, with a gabled projecting porch to the middle bay. On a site sloping from N to S. Jowled posts with unjowled mid-bay posts, and mid-height rail jointed in-line. Curved braces to cambered tie-beams. Clasped-purlin roof on queen-strut trusses with diminished straight principals and straight wind-braces to single purlin in each slope. Wind-braces only at gable ends and in middle bay. Squint-butted scarf joints in wallplates and in each purlin next to truss.
