1/15 Implement Shed at Walkern Hall Farm - (65m to NW of house)
GV II
Implement shed, now housing corn drying equipment. Early C19. Timber frame on low brick sill, dark weatherboarded with a steep pitched roof, slated, extending down at rear over the N aisle. 3-bay tall, single-aisled implement shed facing S with an open arcaded front. Unjowled posts with long curved braces to cambered tie beams and arched braces to the arcade-plate and the open front bays. An aisle-collar springs from the back of each arcade post. Clasped-purlin roof with collar and angle struts in each truss. An elegant structure.
