9/7 The Post House

GV II

House, sometime The Bell PH. Early C18, extended to E in early C19. Timber frame roughcast on painted brick sill with steep red tiled roof. A 2-storeys 2-cell, end chimneys plan house facing S with a 2-storeys single cell, end chimney extension on E with coursed flint pebble walls and grey brick quoins, window surrounds and external gable chimney. External gable chimneys to original house with 2 windows to each floor and door into RH room. 3-light flush casement windows. Plank door with small hood on shaped brackets. 3-light casement window to each floor of extension, slightly recessed under segmental arch. Similar arch to door next RH corner (blocked). 2-storeys RH rear wing, and slated outshut.
