CASTLE DONINGTON DELVEN LANE SK 4427-4527 9/58 Dovecote belonging to the Castle Donington 7.12.62 Tennis Club - II
Dovecote. Early-mid C18 with slight alterations. Red brick with diaper patterning in blue headers. Pyramid tile roof, square wooden entry turret with C20 glazing and C20 cast iron weathervane. 2 storeys. Bands of off-set brick- work with dentils at first floor level and just below eaves, the lower band with narrow dentils and plaster frieze below. South side has C20 doors to both floors. Interior has brick resting boxes, cogged ledges, and C20 floor.
