Roadside horse drinking trough. Dated 1902. Red Lazonby sandstone. Simple
fireclay trough faced with sandstone and flanked by rounded posts,the back wall
with shaped coping. Date over recessed panel inscribed ERECTED TO COMMEMORATE
THE CORONATION OF KING EDWARD VII AND ALSO IN APPRECIATION OF THE LESSENING OF
THE GRADIENTS OF SCATTERBECK HILL BY CUMBERLAND COUNTY COUNCIL DRINK THANK THINK
