Two houses. Early to mid C17, extended early to mid C18. Timber frame to earlier Wayside Cottage, brick nogging. The Nook is brick built. Tiled roof. 2 storeys. 3 bays to Wayside Cottage. Ground floor 2 gabled timber porches, 3 and 2 light casements. First floor 3:2:3 light casements. Exposed framing, posts, rails and studs. The Nook to left is 2 bays, 3 light casements except 2 lights to first floor left, ground floor cambered heads, central entrance with gabled timber porch. Dentilled brick eaves. Ridge stack where 2 dwellings meet. Extruded left end stack. Right gable end is colourwashed brick. Lean-to additions to rear. Later wing to rear right. Interior not inspected.
