SHEERING MILL LANE 1. 5253 (North Side) The Old Vicarage N of Vicarage and next churchyard TL 4849 1476:3/72 II GV 2. Circa 1857, when former vicarage demolished. 2 and 3 storeys red brick with steep red tile roofs and diaper pattern in black brick. 2 parallel linked ranges. Tall moulded chimneys. Chamfered bargeboards. Casement windows in lower range, recessed sash windows in 3 storey range. Segmental brick arches and stone cills. Tiled single storey bay projection on E side of lower block. Pargetted oriel on its S face over glazed screen on Gd floor. Entrance in porch on N end. Splendid example of large C19 vicarage. Prominent in views from churchyard.
