Details
LONDON ROAD 1. 5253 (West Side) Nos55 (The Barbery) 55a and 55b TL 4812 1490:3/3 II GV 2. Early C19. 2 storeys. 2 window stucco house with slate roof and internal gable chimneys in red brick. Later C19 irregular rear lean-to and gabled additions with stucco walls, slate roofs and casement windows. Road frontage has projecting eaves, 2 flush box sashes with architraves, 6/6 panes and louvred shutters. 2 modern wood shop fronts. Painted plinth. The N gable incorporates a large chimney and short stretch of steep slated roof and front and rear walls which remain from the C17 Kings Head Inn now demolished. Listed for group value.
