PISHIOBURY DRIVE 1. 5253 (North Side) No 1 (The Lodge) TL 473 137:6/22 II GV 2. Circa 1840. Red brick single storey former gate lodge to Pishiobury. In sale particulars of 1848 described as 'The handsome Elizabethan Lodge ..... recently built ..... contains contains four comfortable rooms'. Scalloped red tile roofs with shaped gables. White painted stone moulded copings, finials, windows and label drip moulds. Parallel with drive, central rear wing of same height, and elaborate gabled porch central to front 2 windows. Heavy double doors with pointed head and cusped spandrels to frame. Porch has shaped gable with finial and recessed armorial panel. Small projecting bay on gable to high road (W). 3 tall moulded terra cotta chimneys. Picturesque.
