SANDON MILL END TL 33 SW (East side) 7/76 Two Brewers and 17.10.84 Nos. 1 and 2 Brewers Cottages II Former public house with 2 attached cottages, now 2 dwellings. Early C18, extended early C19, altered C20. Timber frame, extended in brick, all rendered. Tiled and slate roofs. Originally a 3 cell lobby entry. 2 bays added to right. Earlier building is 2 storeys and attic with brick plinth. C20 flush frame casements, a small light on first floor over blocked original entrance. Right bay has an entrance with a plain vertically boarded door, flush frame glazing bar sashes. Large red brick ridge stack, part rebuilt, between centre and left bays. Tiled roof half hipped at both ends. C19 addition has 2 light casements, a lower shallower pitched slate roof, hipped to right. Central cross axial ridge stack. Entrance in right return. Catslide roof over lean-to to rear of C19 bays. C20 lean-to addition to rear of earlier range.
