Details

BRANTINGHAM BURRILL LANE SE 92 NW (north side) 5/2 Hall Farmhouse - II House. Late C18 with early C19 addition. Coursed oolitic limestone rubble, brick dressings, pantiled roof. 2 storeys with attics, 3 bays in symmetrical elevation with single-storey 2-bay extension to left. Projecting closed timber porch with 6-panel door flanked by sashes with glazing bars and sills. First floor: 3 similar sashes. Stepped brick eaves cornice. 2 roof dormers each with a 2-light casement with horizontal glazing bars. End stacks, tumbled-in brick to raised gables. Extension to left has similar porch with, to the right, a tripartite window of 3 pointed openings containing sashes with intersecting glazing bars and to the left a 12-pane sash with similar Gothick glazing under a cambered brick arch. End stack, plain close verges.
