Details

NORTH FERRIBY HIGH STREET SE 92 NE (south side) 6/30 White House and barn adjoining to right - II House and barn. Mid/late C18, the barn probably a little later than the house; eaves of barn raised and house extended in C19. Red brick (colour- washed to house) pantiled roofs. House originally of 2 storeys, 3 bays with symmetrical facade, later 2-storey, single-bay extension to left. 4-panel door with overlight in C19 pilastered doorcase flanked to right and left by 6-pane sashes with sills under cambered wedge lintels. First floor: 2 similar, smaller windows to right and left of smaller blank opening over door. Extension to left has sliding sash with glazing bars and sill under cambered wedge lintel to ground and first floors. Plain close verges to left, raised gable to right. End and axial stacks. Barn: 2 storeys, 2 bays. Ground floor: 2 small, square ventilation holes. First floor: two 2- light openings with herringbone louvres. Plain close verges.
