4/30 Stables approximately 40 metres south-west of Manor Farmhouse
GV II
Stables/granary. Mid - late C18 with later alterations. Brick with pantile roof. Rectangular on plan. 2 storeys, 5 first floor openings; symmetrical. Chamfered plinth. Central section (largely obscured by ivy) breaks forward with blocked segmental-arched door on left. 2 blocked doors to left, one with ventilation hatch, the other with casement above blocking, flanked by 3 windows with similar casements above blocked lower sections. Similar section to right has entrance with ventilation hatch above a board door, blocked door with ventilation hatch above, and windows with casements and a hatch above blocked lower sections. All ground floor openings to side bays have cambered brick arches. First floor: central hatch with board door above blocked oculus; 9-pane casement, 12-pane sliding sash, ventilation hatch, boarded window. Stepped eaves, brick-coped gables. Rear has 6 board doors beneath cambered brick arches, central blocked doorway with blocked opening above, 2 inserted C20 casements to right; first-floor board hatch door to left, 9-pane casement to right and 4 blocked openings. Adjoining ranges to east of no special interest.
