TA 30 NW HUMBERSTON WENDOVER LANE (east side) 4/33 Haverstoe Cottage

GV II

House. C17 or early C18, encased in late C19 with alterations and additions of c1960. Timber frame encased in brick, with brick extension, colourwashed throughout. Pantile roof. Rectangular on plan; 6 bays of timber frame; 3 rooms with lobby-entry to right of centre; single room addition and outhouses to right. Single storey with attic, 3 windows. Padstones visible at base of wall. Recessed board door with two 12-pane sliding sashes to left beneath segmental brick arches; C20 casement to right with glazing bars. C20 flat-roofed dormer with casement. Axial stack. Steeply-pitched roof. Attic 12-pane sliding sash to left return. Interior: not fully investigated: wall plates, tie beams, wall posts with mid-rails and curved braces exposed in room to left.
