GV II

House. Mid - late C18 with later alterations. Brick in Flemish bond. Slate roof. Double-depth plan with 2-room central entrance hall front. 2 storeys, 3 bays; symmetrical. 6-fielded-panel door (top 2 panels glazed) in architrave with plain fanlight beneath brick keyed round arch; late C19 - early C20 round-arched hood on brackets. C19 4-pane sashes in original flush wooden architraves with projecting cills and rubbed brick flat arches. Stepped and cogged brick eaves cornice. End stacks. Pairs of 12-pane attic sliding sashes to left and right gables. Interior: open well staircase with closed string, moulded handrail, column-on-vase balusters with square knops and later ornate newel; arched alcoves with fluted pilasters and keyed architraves to ground floor left; fielded-panel dado with moulded dado rail to ground floor right.
