11.8.50 Archway Bookshop GV (formerly listed as Church Cottage)

Circa C18 or earlier. Small stone rubble building. Tarred slate roof, steeply pitched and with gabled ends. Two storeys and attic. One bay. First floor sash with glazing bars, the top panes have intersecting glazing bars. Ground floor has medieval moulded two-centred arch doorway which is said to have come from Newenham Abbey. Blocked carriageway with segmental arch with similar sash inserted to that on first floor. Brick chimney stack at gable end. Roof light to attic. Interior has no early features.
