Details
CATHEDRAL YARD 1. 1092 Tinsley's Cafe SX 9192 NE 2/81 29.1.53 II GV 2. Includes No 2 Broadgate. Front built 1825 when Broadgate was demolished, but the back part of the building is still partly the C17 timber framed house which stood there previously. The front is rendered, four storeys, six windows, on a curved line, bands at each level. Good C19 curved shop frontage, sashes some with glazing bars and casements. Parapet, roof not visible. Remains of the Close wall are exposed internally on the ground and first floors; two medieval arches are included. All the listed buildings of Cathedral Yard and Nos 1 and 2 Deanery Place form a group.
