C17/C18. Building shows Dutch influence and may have been built when Dutch engineers
were at work on canal late C17. Square red brick house with 4 chimneys, one at
each corner. Sash windows evidently inserted later, as original openings are partly
filled in, glazing bars. One first floor bay overlooking the canal. Steep pitch
slate roof with a dormer on each face.
