WELCOMBE WELCOMBE SS 21 NW

7/233 Outbuilding immediately north east of Welcombe Barton

GV II

Probably a granary now used as farm produce shop. Probably C19. Local slate rubble. Corrugated iron gable-ended roof. Plan: Small rectangular single cell building with a doorway in the east gable end. Exterior: 1 storey. The east gable end has a doorway at the centre with a plank door and timber lintel. The west gable end has a C20 five-light window with glazing bars, a timber lintel and slate sill. Interior: The internal walls are plastered. The roof structure has been replaced. Originally it is said to have had a boarded grain bin at the west end, but this has now been removed.
