Details

BONDLEIGH SS 60 SE 6/9 Southcott II House. Cl7 with C20 alterations. Rendered cob walls. Gable ended thatched roof. Brick stack at left gable end projecting rendered rubble stack at front with tall brick shaft. Plan: Original layout of rooms not entirely clear, probably 2 room plan, each room heated, divided by central passage. The plan has probably been altered in the C20. Exterior: 2 storeys. Asymmetrical 3 window front of mid-late C20 top light opening casements. C20 plank door at centre. At right-hand end next to lateral stack is C19 or early C20 leanto open fronted porch, the door replaced with a window. Interior: Inaccessible at time of survey but may contain original ceiling beams and fireplaces, possibly with an early roof structure.
