House. Probably C16 origins rebuilt or extended in the C19. Whitewashed and
rendered stone rubble with asbestos slate roof hipped at left end, gabled at right.
2 rear lateral projecting stone stacks, 1 very massive with set-offs, 1 rendered
circa C19 stack at right gable end in front of ridge. Some external evidence of
former through passage plan at left-hand end of house. The inner room seems to have
been completely rebuilt or added, probably in the late C19 when the house was
refenestrated. 2 storeys. Asymmetrical 3 window front with no front windows at the
right-hand end. 2 entrances on front, one at the left probably marks the former
through passage, a second leads into the rebuilt or added half of the house at the
right. Windows are late C19 4-pane sashes on the front. No windows to the rear
except one C19 first floor 2-light casement, 6 panes per light. Evidence of blocked
doorway at rear opposed to door on front at left.
Interior Not inspected. Said to have no early features visible but they may be
concealed.
