7/75 Gunstone Mill Cottage
II
Cottage, possibly 2 cottages or part of a larger house formerly. Probably C18. Plastered cob on rubble fottings; cob or rubble stacks topped with C19 brick; thatched roof. 2-room block facing north with single storey outshot to front right, its monopitch roof continuing the slope of the main roof. Each room has a stack in the right side, the larger projecting from the gable end and including a slate-roofed oven projection. Door now in side of outshot in the angle with the main block. Gable-ended with roof at different levels over each half. 2 storeys. 2 window front of C20 wooden casements with glazing bars. The right hand first floor window is a 3-light dormer. The weatherboarding of the left gable end suggests that formerly the building extended further in that direction. Interior not inspected.
