Details
KNOWSTONE SS 82 SW 3/17 Little Kidland including barn - attached at west end - II Tenement farmhouse with attached barn. Probably C18 but earlier fabric may be concealed. Rendered stone rubble and cob. Thatch roof, half-hipped at right end, hipped at left end, continuous over barn and dwelling. Axial brick stack. Plan: small 2 room plan cottage with direct entry into large heated right-hand room and small unheated room to left with staircase against front wall, barn attached at Left end. Exterior: 2 storeys. 2 window range. Late C19 fenestration all 2-light casements, variously paned with leanto roof to porch towards right end with plank door. Barn has double plank doors. Interior: brief inspection suggested interior had remained virtually unspoilt in C20. No exposed ceiling beams. C19 chimneypiece. Roof not inspected.
