House with adjoining stable with loft, formerly a farmhouse. Circa early C17, altered in C20. Slate rubble. Slate hung south west end wall. Concrete tile and slate roof with gabled and hipped ends. Chimney stack at right hand (north east) gable end and axial stack near left hand (south west) end which has stable addition. Two storeys. Four window range. C20 casements. Right hand with concrete lintel, left hand segmental brick arches. Central C17 two storey gabled porch with dressed slate round arch and massive wide C17 nail-studded plank door with covermoulds, original doorframe ovolo moulded on the inside only and without stops. Stable adjoining left (north west) end with loft door reached by external stone stairs with integral dog kennel below. Lean-to at right hand (north east) end. Interior: Part of plank and muntin screen survives on right hand hall side of very wide passage, which has later stairs and partition inserted. The screen on the left side of passage has been removed but the head beam is morticed for screen. Hall has chamfered beams with step stops and similar joists, many of which have been removed. Fireplace in gable end has been altered and now has two red brick arches. Roof has seven trusses, the apices are probably morticed, two tiers of threaded purlins, the lower purlins visible in first floor rooms. The collars are missing but the principals are dovetailed for lap-joints.
