II
Farmhouse. C17 with some late C18 or C19 rebuilding and alterations. Colourwashed roughcast rendered rubble and cob. Scantle slate roof with gable ends. Rubble stack to right end with drip, axial brick stack and tall lateral hall stack to rear with pronounced batter and large offset. 3 cell cross-passage plan with C19 rebuilding at lower end and division of inner room with additional entrance inserted at upper end. 6-window range of C19 to C20 2-light casements. 2 porches with lean- to roofs slated to right with rubble piers. 4-paned horned sash to right and 2- light casement to left. C20 hall window. 2-light casement to lower end. Catslide roof of 2 pitches to rear outshuts at upper end. Timber 3-light ovolo-mullion window to right of rear hall stack. Interior: C17 balustrade to head of stairs with thick turned balusters and heavy newels with acorn finials. Roof structure probably renewed in late C18 or C19 unusually with coupled rafters with side-pegged collars.
