Details
1. 1615 ANGEL LANE (North-East Side) The Cedars. No 5. ST 8623 1/10 II 2. L-shaped block. The Cedars is a late C18 or early C19 building. Tile roof. 2 storeys, 3 windows. Brick structure with ashlar front. Flight of 6 steps flanked by iron handrail terminating in a scroll leads up to central doorway. Door with 6 flush panels in frame; hood on iron brackets over. Glazing bars to window. Incorporated in the front are carved stone bosses of medieval origin. At north-east end is No 5: a lower 2-storey 5-bay wing. Stone rubble with plaintile roof and hipped gable to road. Casement windows. Splayed porch in corner adjoining the Cedars. Doors in 2nd and 3rd bays from the street.
