1. 1615 BARTON HILL (North Side) Nos 2 to 8 (even) ST 8623 1/13 II GV 2. Row of cottages. C18 and earlier. Plain tile roofs. Rough ashlar fronts. No 2: 2 storeys. 3-bays. Windows 4 panes wide flanking central window which is 3 panes wide. 4-panelled door with top panels cut away and glazed; wooden hood over on brackets. No 4: 2 storeys and atic, 1 bay. Slate mansard roof [part tile]; hipped dormer. 3 light modern casement on 1st floor. Sash window with glazing bars intact in segmental arch on ground floor. Segmental headed doorway; flat hood on shaped brackets over; modern door. No 6: 2 storeys, 2 windows. Windows with glazing. bars intact; ground floor windows with wooden lintels. Door with upper panels cut away and glazed; wooden frame; flat C18 hood on shaped brackets over. No 8 has been modernized but forms part of the group. Early to mid C19. 2 storeys, 2 windows [modern windows]. Sash windows in gable end, Plaintile roof; formerly stone slates to roof at rear.
Nos 2 to 8 (even) form a group with Nos 42 to 58 (even) Bell Street and No 1 Victoria Street.
