Walls enclosing former burial ground of the Bowdon family. In its present form mostly C19 and C20. Coursed squared sandstone with sandstone dressings. Rectangular enclosure, enclosed by a chamfered coped wall, taller at the rear. C20 gate piers with moulded caps, at the entrance on the south side. Within the enclosure is the weathered remains of a tombstone with drapery, and an inscription plaque with four shields flanking the dedicatory inscription Within this enclosure lie the remains of many generations of the family of Bowdon
