House 25 metres to the west of the Yew Tree Inn

(Formerly listed as House 25 metres to the west of the Holly Tree Inn, LEASHAW (OFF))

House. Mid C18, but incorporating elements of a C17 building. Coursed squared
gritstone with ashlar dressings, quoins, coped gables with moulded kneelers, and
end brick ridge stacks. Interlocking concrete tiled roof. Three storeys, three bays,
formerly with stacked 2-light flush mullioned windows to outer bays, and to first
and second floors to the centre bay, now with mullions removed from the south-west
bay, and from the ground floor window to the north east end. Two single light
massive quoins and lintel, and a C20 glazed door. Doorway now enclosed by a C20
half glazed porch. Plain bands to heads of ground and first floor windows, stepped
around door lintel. Cills of second floor windows formerly sat on the top of the
first floor band, but have been raised, and infill stonework inserted. Part of a
C20 porch of the cottage attached to the south-west end encloses part of the south
west bay. Plan form and main elevation are a close copy of Dial Farm, Crich, (g v).
The attached lower cottages to the south west are not included in the listing.
