SK 24 60 PARISH OF WINSTER MAIN STREET 3/39 (south Side) 12.7.67 Archway House (formerly GV listed as The Archway)

House. Dated 1754. Coursed squared gritstone, with projecting corners, moulded eaves band, coped gables, moulded kneelers, intermediate and west end ridge stacks, and a Welsh slated roof. Three storeys, three bays, with stacked flush mullioned 2-light openings, the heads of which are linked by continuous band courses. C19 casements and sashes. Off-centre doorway with quoined surround, and massive lintel with dripmould above. Inscribed tablet above doorway reads: C.B. 1754

with C20 inscription below. C19 four-panelled door. Carriageway arch to the west of the doorway with keyblock and plain double doors.
