House. Late C17 with C18 and C19 additions and alterations. Coursed squared
gritstone with gritstone dressings and quoins. C17 house has stone slate roof with
large central ridge stack and moulded stone copings and kneelers to gable ends.
Later additions have plain tile roofs with stone coped northern gables with plain
kneelers and stone gable end stack to central portion. Two storeys, two bay house
with lower single bay C18 addition to north and lower C19 single bay addition beyond.
East elevation, formerly the principal elevation, now partly below ground, has
central chamfered flush quoined doorcase, now blocked,with 3-light recessed and
chamfered mullion windows to either side. Two similar windows over and blocked
central single light window. To north, addition has blocked, flush doorcase with
single light window to south and 2-light flush mullion window to north. Above,
central 3-light flush mullion window. All fenestration two pane casements or
fixed lights. West elevation of C19 addition has flush doorcase with panelled door
and plain sash in flush surround above. To south, C18 addition has C19 canted bay
window with plain sashes and plain sash over with single light window to south.
