II
Farmhouse, C17 with extensive alterations and additions of the C19. Main- facade of ashlar with remainder of house in flint and rubble with ashlar quoins. Tiled roof with end brick stacks. L-plan with late C19 addition in re-entrant angle. Main facade symmetrical. 2 storeys, 5 window range. 2-light casements with glazing bars under returned labels. Bulls-eye window to upper floor central. Central doorway flanked by Tuscan columns supporting open pedimental hood. Glazed door with transom-light. Remains of C17 stone windows to rear.
Internal features (RCHM): C18 carved wood fireplace surrounds;first floor C17 fireplace with moulded 4-centred head and continuous jambs with run-out stops. (RCHM, Dorset, vol.II, p.39, no. 6).
