LYDLINCH BLACKROW LANE ST 71 SW Rodmore Farm, Farmhouse. 4/55 II Farmhouse, dated 1610 (scratched on roof truss). Coursed rubble, slate roof with gable ends, brick and stone end stacks. Possible original lean to left, single storey extension right. 2 storeys, 3 window range. Restored and C20 inserted stone (and concrete) mullioned windows with hollow chamfers of 2, 3 and 4 lights. C20 2-light casement with glazing bars in outshut. In the outshut to the west are 2 2-light stone mullioned window with hollow chamfers, the lower one having traces of a label. West gable has round stone chimney (c.f. Glanville's Wootton, Round Chimney's Farm). Internally there are chamfered beams, an open fireplace with a chamfered bresummner and 2 upper floor corner fireplaces. Collar truss roof. "RCHM, Dorset, Vol III, p 141, no 12.
