CHEAP STREET 1. 1625 (North East Side) No 39A No 39 (Formerly listed as Premises occupied by Parsons, Butcher) ST 6316 1/59 28.11.50. II GV 2. Built 1840 and was until recently an example of a butcher's shop of the period. Still in same family. 2 storeys. 3 windows. 1 boxed dormer. Slate gabled roof. Moulded parapet. Ashlar front. Modern glazed door with wide fanlight to no 39A to left hand; modern plate-glass shop front to right hand to Parsons.
Nos 29 to 53 (odd) and No 53A form a group.
