GV II

House, now 3 dwellings. Early C16 or earlier with later alterations and additions. Timber framed, C18 and C20 red brick facing. Red plain tiled roofs. Central hall with right and left hipped crosswings. Off centre right chimney stack to hall and 2 chimney stacks to left of left crosswing. Right crossing outshot to right. 2 storeys. 1:2:1 first floor, 1:3:3 ground floor windows of various small paned vertically sliding sashes, C20 2 and 3 light diamond leaded casements and a C19 shop window to right. 1:1:1 C20 doors, that to right of hall with C20 stained glass relating Whippats, AD 1300. There is also a 4 panelled 2 light door in a simple surround to left of hall. Reputed to contain moulded ceiling beams. RCHM 8
