HASTINGS WATER LANE TQ 735E & TO 7630-7730 (east side) 10/457 & 17/457 Stable range and cottages to south of main stable block, Tongswood Farm GV II Stable range and cottages. Late C19. Timber framed and weather boarded stable range, and red and blue brick cottages. Plain tiled roof. The stable range forms the south side of the stable court, with identical details, with 3 single storey blocks with gabled louvres, paired half doors with mullioned sidelights to east blocks, with gabled projecting wing to left joining the rear of the cottages. Cottage range of 2 storeys with half hipped roof and 3 irregularly projecting central gables with stacks ranged from left to right. Nine window bays in all of irregularly spaced and sized wooden casements, most segmentally headed, with panelled and half-glazed doors to left, centre and to right with gabled hoods on brackets. Part of the model farm complex at Tongswood Home Farm.
