5 terraced houses. c1777-8, altered. Yellow stock brick with
some later patching.
EXTERIOR: 4 storeys and basements. 3 windows each. Gauged
brick flat arches (some reddened) to recessed sashes.
Parapets.
No.37: rusticated ground floor with architraved 1st floor
panel. 1st & 2nd floor tuck pointed. Round-arched ground floor
openings. Doorway with pilaster-jambs carrying entablature
head; patterned fanlight and double doors. SUBSIDIARY
FEATURES: attached cast-iron railings to areas, those flanking
the entrance with fleur-de-lys finials.
No.39: C20 cement front with 1st floor moulded string and 3rd
floor entablature. C20 commercial ground floor frontage;
square-headed doorway with fanlight and panelled door.
SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: attached cast-iron railings to area.
No.41: original round-headed doorway with stucco block
dressings. Impost blocks decorated with paterae; head on
keystone. Fanlight and panelled door. 1st floor stucco sill
band. SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: attached cast-iron railings with
torch flambe finials to area.
No.43: C20 restaurant ground floor frontage. 1st floor stucco
sill band.
No.45: C20 restaurant ground floor frontage. 1st floor stucco
sill band. Centre 1st floor sash elongated.
INTERIORS: not inspected.
