5/4 Houblone Tomb Approximately 1 Metre To East Of North Chapel of Church of St. Mary (q.v.)

Chest tomb. Dated 1722. Red brick with moulded base and moulded stone top. 2 sunken panels on each side and one at each end. Wrought iron railed surround with plain railings, some decorative ironwork, and standards with urn finials. Inscribed on top: Here Lies the Body of ABRAHAM HOUBLONE Esq who died at Langley the 11th of May 1722.
