Castle Hill, CASTLE STREET (South Side), No 107

Circa 1800 (shown on Tomkins/Coates map of 1802). Stucco villa with 4 Ionic pilasters and moulded entablature to upper floors and slate roof. Ground floor channelled with 3 equal arches and moulded stucco string over. 3 storeys and basement. Mostly plate glass sash windows, 3 to upper floor, 2 plus entrance ground floor. 6 panel door (upper 4 glazed) approached by flight of steps with cast iron railings. Interior: wide tall with flat modillion cornice, segmental arch with panelled soffit, tightly turned stair with curled rail to bottom. Reeded surrounds to doors. Set back 2 storey extension to right in matching style and single storey stable wing to left, entrance enlarged, coach-house in yard to rear.
