Country House. C16 with extensive 1920s extensions by Biddulph Pinchard. Two storeys and attic, flint with Bath stone dressings, stone tile roof. Built around a courtyard, west front has flanking gables, narrow central gabled porch of brick with stone quoins. Six-light stone mullioned and transomed upper window at top of porch, single light below, ledged door in four centred arched stone surround with cut spandrels and a small carved coat of arms in panel over door. Flanking porch are 2 x 2 light mullioned and transomed windows. Each gable has one bay with three-light mullioned casement in attic, 8 x 10 light mullioned and transomed windows below. Flanking stone chimneys with brick diagonal shafts with offset heads. C16 portion is to RH of porch, the rest is modern.
Interior has four centred stone arched fireplaces in old portion of house, imported Italian C17 panelling, inlaid, with ionic, fluted pilasters in dining room. Two C17 carved, Spanish doors to living and sitting rooms. Staircase with twisted balusters in old house, large central staircase with stone balustrade behind modern porch.
