Details

SP 9433-9533 WOBURN MARKET PLACE 8/136 No.21 (Woburn Country Shop) GV II House, ground floor converted to shop. C16, reworked earlier C19. Substantial timber framed structure with brick infill, the front elevation refaced and heightened by one storey. Front elevation is stuccoed and colourwashed, other elevations mostly have colourwashed roughcast render, with some timbering exposed to side elevation. Slates to front, clay tiles to rear. 3 storeyed front block with 2 storeyed gable to rear. First and 2nd floors each have 3 sashes with glazing bars. Ground floor has 2 doors to outer bays, each of 6 moulded panels surmounted by rectangular fanlight. RH doorway retains pilastered surround and flat wood on ornamental cut brackets. LH doorway now incorporated into C20 shop front, with C20 bowed window to RH.
