Details
WOBURN SP-9632-9732 WOBURN PARK 10/146 Statue of Diana (formerly listed under 23.1.61 Sculptural groups in Woburn Abbey GV II Courtyard) Statue. Circa 1700 by J V Legterin (floruit 1685-1708). Ashlar, blackened at a later date to imitate lead. Stands on rectangular ashlar plinth with moulded base and cap. Statue and plinth together measure approximately 3 metres in height. Standing figure of Diana in classical draperies with crescent in hair, quiver in left hand and hunting dog by R Leg. Forms a group with items 10/145, 10/147 and 10/148.
