4/125 The Old Forge - GV II
House, formerly 2 cottages. C17 and C18. Timber framed construction with red brick infill, partly colourwashed roughcast render. Old clay tile roofs. Originally 2 cottages set at right angles to each other, linked in C18 by additional bay to N of E block and lean-to between this and block, forming overall L-plan. One storey and attics. E wing : front elevation has 2 casement windows to ground floor, C20 gabled porch to RH, C20 lean-to addition to LH, and red brick double ridge stack to centre of original block. Rear elevation has later lean-to addition and one gabled dormer, with variety of casements. W wing : S elevation has outshot to LH with single diamond leaded light, 2 ground floor windows and one gabled dormer to RH with variety of casements, and red brick double ridge stack.
