24/98 No. 29 Lye Cottage - GV II
C17 house. Coursed limestone rubble. Thatched roof with stone gable coping to E. end. 3-bay plan. Two storeys and attics. Gable end to road. S. elevation: 2 dormer windows. First floor, three 3-light casement windows. Ground floor has one casement window with glazing bars; two sash windows with glazing bars in upper sash. These flank a gabled porch with scalloped bargeboards. N. elevation: First floor has four windows: from left to right two 3-light casements, one 2-light casement with glazing bars, one C19 sash window with glazing bars. Ground floor has one 3-light casement, three 2- light casements with glazing bars and two gabled doorhoods, one with brackets and C20 porch sides. Gable end red brick stacks and off-centre ridge stack on W.side of central bay.
