GV II

Pair of houses. 1773 R.O. inscribed on circular panel in tympanum of central
pediment. Coursed limestone rubble with ironstone dressings. Old clay tile
roof with stone gable coping. Two storeys. Ironstone band at ground floor
window head level. In the centre is a slightly projecting pedimented section
with ironstone quoins. Central pedestrian archway with deep ironstone head,
flanked by two cottage doorways. All under large arched panel. Side wings
also have central first floor panel arched with ironstone. Windows are mainly
C20. N.E. wing has three first floor casements. Ground floor has two C20 bow
windows and 2-light casement. S.W. wing has four first floor casements,
right-hand one of 4-lights. Ground floor has three casement windows and one
4-light C20 bow window. The Cottage, to S.W. end, is a later two bay addition
in similar style.
