16/424 Old Vicarage 13.7.1964 GV II

Former vicarage. Inscribed 1778 R.O. on circular panel in tympanum of pediment. Coursed limestone rubble with ironstone quoins, bands and window heads. Hipped Welsh slate roof. Originally L-plan with later wings added to rear. Two storeys. N.W. elevation has central slightly projecting section with pediment 1:1:1 sash windows to first floor; outer two have glazing bars. C19 one storey flat-roofed addition to centre. Moulded cornice. 3-light sash window. S.E. wing has three sash winoows with glazing bars to each floor. One storey extension to this wing with gabled slate roof. S.E. gable end has datestone 1783. To N.E. is C19 wing with hipped Welsh slate roof.
