THE BAULK 1. 5124 Stratton House TL 1944 1/4 20.5.52 II GV 2. C18 and C19 remodelling of a C17 timber-framed building. Gault brick facade. Two storey and attics. Concrete tile roof. Three hipped dormers. Panelled parapet. Four sashes with glazing bars under stone heads with keystones. Two ground floor C19 canted bays with slate roofs. Central C18 doorcase with plain pilasters, triglyph frieze and heavy console brackets supporting deep hood; panelled reveals and 6 panel door. Slightly taller right hand wing has 2 box dormers and rebuilt plain parapet. Two sashes with glazing bars to first floor, left hand ground floor has small sashes, right hand sash with glazing bars has side lights.
