2. 1866 by Alfred Watarhouse in Gothic style. Bath stone, Welsh slated roof with 3 dormer windows. 2 storeys and attics. Ground floor has 5 large cusped pointed arches, ventral doorway flanked by windows. The arches rest on moulded responds aid colonnettes with stiff leaf capitals, 1st floor has 5 pairs of rectangular windows, colonnettes dividing each pair. Eaves cornice on brackets decorated with leaf carving. Stone chimney stacks. Built for local bank, Basset & Co (See also The Knolls, Plantation Road, for F Bassett by Norman Shaw).

Nos 2 to 6 (even) form a group with No 50 High Street.
