8/82 Horton Primary School and adjoining School House II

National School and School House. 1860. Coursed squared rubble with freestone dressings; C20 tiled roof; ashlar and rubble stacks. Single storey school to left: two 3-light windows with Geometrical tracery and gables, and a lateral stack between; a wide gabled wing projects at the left with a similar window; projecting gabled porch to right; and bellcote on ridge. To the right is the school house: gabled cross wing, 2- and 3-light windows with trefoil heads; door in re-entrant angle to side elevation. (C20 extension to left not included).
