ST 7767 BATHEASTON C.P. HIGH STREET (South-east side) 7/60 Retaining wall and steps G.V. to terrace with orangery at east end, at rear of No. 290 (Batheaston House)

Orangery, now garden building. Mid C18th. Ashlar. Single storey. 4 Tuscan ½-columns with glazing bar sashes and glazed door between. Plain entablature and cornice. Orangery stands at east end of terrace immediately in front of garden elevation of Batheaston House (q.v.). Coursed, squared rubble retaining wall to paved terrace; cornice and ball finials. 8 ashlar steps.
